Finding a good job in the Bay Area is hard enough, even without the additional challenges the trans* community faces. That’s why we created the Trans Employment Program (TEEI). TEEI was started in 2007 and is the nation’s first program designed to help transgender and gender non-conforming people find – and keep – good jobs in safe workplaces.

We have helped transgender and gender non-conforming community members find hundreds of jobs in safe, equal, and rewarding workplaces. All of our services are free and open to the diverse needs of our community. Contact us to setup a one-on-one appointment today or book an appointment online.

TEEI is designed to aid you in your search for meaningful employment by providing job search support, mentorship, networking opportunities, and legal services.

Trans Employment Program (TEEI) services include:

  • Employment Support and Case Management
  • Mentoring and Networking Clubs
  • Life Skills, Leadership Training and Employment Workshops
  • Career Fairs and Employer Spotlight Events
  • Employer, Service Provider, and Advocacy Trainings
  • Legal Services and ID Document Support

We are working with employers everyday to create trans* friendly workplaces. If you are serious about finding a job, then we are serious about helping you find the perfect fit.  If you’re not sure what you’re qualified for, we can guide you to identify a career paths that matches your skills and interests.  If your resume is out of date, we can help you whip it into shape.  If you’re dreading that first interview, we can help you practice the tough questions. And when you do get that job, we’ll be there to help you navigate any bumps in the road as you settle into your new position.

TEEI is a collaborative program that has staff members and offers program services at several organizations. Each agency brings its own unique strengths to this historic partnership. TEEI partners include: SF LGBT Center, Transgender Law Center, and TRANS: THRIVE.
