What is TEEI?
Finding a good job in the Bay Area is hard enough, even without the additional challenges our community faces. That’s why we created the Transgender Economic Empowerment Initiative (TEEI). TEEI is the nation’s first program designed to help us find – and keep – good jobs in safe workplaces.
We have helped Transgender community members find jobs in safe, exciting workplaces such as Macy’s, Bloomingdales, UCSF, Bank of America, Good Vibrations, Frameline, and Trader Joe’s to name a few.
If you’re serious about finding a job, then we’re serious about helping. If you’re not sure what you’re qualified for, we can guide you to career paths that match your skills and interests. If your resume is out of date, we can help you whip it into shape. If you’re dreading that first interview, we can help you practice the tough questions. And when you do get that job, we’ll be there to help you navigate any bumps in the road as you settle into your new position.
TEEI is a collaborative program that has staff members and offers program services at several organizations. Each agency brings its own unique strengths to this historic partnership. TEEI partners include:
