TEEI provides individual job search support to transgender and gender-nonconforming adults, many of whom are highly qualified and struggle to find work only because of the prevalence of anti-trans discrimination. We aim to connect qualified job seekers with jobs in safe and respectful workplaces where their skills and talents are utilized to the benefit of both employee and employer. Here are some ways employers can get involved right away:
- Do you have open positions? Participate in a Transgender Job Fair to recruit diverse qualified candidates from the transgender community.
- Want to recruit more often than the job fairs? Keep us apprised of open positions, and we can connect you with transgender job seekers who are strong fits for those openings.
- Need training? TEEI provides free trainings on transgender employment law and preventing gender identity bias in the workplace.
- Do you have 15 minutes? We work with job seekers who want to learn more about a field or about a particular employer. We’d love to refer them to you for a brief informational meeting to get your perspective and advice on their next career move.
- Do you want become a TEEI mentor? We offer job seekers the opportunity to participate with a comprehensive mentoring program.
- Already a leader in transgender employment? Consider joining TEEI’s Employer Leadership Council.
